    Description

    1826 CUZco 8 reales graded NGC AU detail. I can't discern anything on the coin that would account for the grade...the coin is just a bit baggy. It has nice luster beneath the toning. What makes this coin so interesting is that it was double struck, giving Lady Libertad a third eye! Most double struck coins of the type will have 4 eyes, making a 3-eyed Liberty quite unusual and bizarre. This type is very scarce compared to the Lima examples, mint errors notwithstanding.
